Weave Living, Asia Pacific’s leading provider of urban rental accommodation, announced the acquisition and upcoming transformation of 12 Shan Road in Singapore into Weave Suites – Novena.

The property was been acquired in partnership with a fund managed by global asset management firm BlackRock and Singapore’s Lian Beng Group.

This newly unveiled location marks the third this year for Weave Living, further accelerating its footprint in Singapore and expansion throughout Asia-Pacific.

Set for completion in 2026, the property will be transformed to reflect Weave Living’s signature modern aesthetic design. The 99-unit property will offer a fully serviced living experience with several large layouts, from open-plan to one and two-bedroom apartments.

Guests can expect to enjoy modern lifestyle and wellness amenities, including a sheltered play area for children, a patio overlooking the wellness facilities, a lap pool, and a communal courtyard. The property also provides convenient services such as housekeeping, professional on-site maintenance, and security.

The joint venture partners have confirmed the acquisition of the freehold property for over SGD 100 million. Conveniently positioned between the vibrant neighbourhoods of Novena and Balestier, the property benefits from proximity to key social and commercial infrastructure, including multiple world-class medical facilities, shopping malls, and famed local eateries.

Over the next few months, Weave Living will undertake a comprehensive upgrade of the serviced apartments to align with the brand’s signature design standards. Upon reopening as Weave Suites – Novena, the property will cater to a diverse demographic, including families, corporate travellers, professionals, and long-term residents seeking a well-designed, modern living alternative in a prime location.

“We are committed to curating rental and lifestyle experiences that enhance everyday life for individuals and families and raising the bar for sophisticated urban living,” said Sachin Doshi, Founder and Group CEO of Weave Living. “The strategic location of Weave Suites – Novena opens up a unique opportunity to cater to Singapore’s growing strength as a regional corporate, medical and wellness hub, and we expect to attract long-term residents, tourists, business travellers and corporates who value larger formats and being in the heart of it all.

“With a strong pipeline and growing assets under management, we remain committed to redefining urban living across Asia-Pacific.”

Andrew Lee, Head of Investments, Singapore Real Estate, BlackRock, commented, “We are delighted to acquire this rare freehold serviced apartment in the vibrant Novena area. With a higher proportion of two-bedroom units, the property will be fully upgraded and rebranded as Weave Suites, offering unique lifestyle and wellness amenities tailored for guests and families seeking larger-format accommodations. We remain highly confident in Singapore’s living and lodging sector and have been actively investing in the last 18 months.”

This milestone represents Weave Living’s second venture with global investment management firm BlackRock, reinforcing the company’s belief in Singapore as a key growth market and highlighting its strategic approach to expansion through deepening relationships with trusted investment partners. Also participating in the acquisition is Lian Beng Group, continuing their collaboration on multiple Weave projects, including Weave Suites – Midtown.

Weave Living currently operates three properties in Singapore: Weave Suites – Midtown, in the heart of bustling Bugis; Weave Suites – Hillside, in the serene Mount Sophia enclave; and Weave Residences – East Coast, nestled in the charming Katong neighbourhood. With this latest acquisition, Weave Living will increase its offering in Singapore to circa 500 units across its various brands, valuing its portfolio in the city-state to over SGD 500 million.
